Why this policy exists
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, every organisation that collects personal data from UK residents must tell people clearly what data is collected, why, and how it is used. The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) additionally require that we obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies on your device. As a CQC-registered care provider we also handle sensitive health information, making compliance especially important.
First Haven Providers is a CQC-registered home care provider based in Manchester. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website.

We collect information in two ways:
- Information you give us, when you submit our contact form: your name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message.
- Information collected automatically, basic analytics data such as pages visited, time on site, and general location (country/city level). This is collected using cookies.
We do not collect payment details, and we do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:
- Resend (email delivery service), to send you and us emails from the contact form. Data is processed on their servers in the EU/UK.
- Vercel (website hosting), your IP address and request data passes through their servers when you visit this site.
All third-party providers are contractually required to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.
Contact form submissions are retained for up to 2 years in our email inbox, after which they are deleted. You may request deletion at any time.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability, receive your data in a structured format
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)
